Braveheart Grief Ministries, Inc.

Braveheart Grief Ministries, Inc is a non-profit established to provide therapeutic and Christ-centered programs to counsel people of all ages who are grieving after the death of a loved one.
Licensed professionals (LPC, LMFT and LSW) provide the oversight of the curriculum and activities designed to walk a person through grief and practicably implement these lessons into real life situations. Ordained ministers and music ministers are a part of the team to offer hope into a person’s life story of pain. There are unique emotional and spiritual needs which necessitates special care during this time of loss.
No one is exempt from death or from grief, yet most do not have the vocabulary, experience, or coping skills to manage such pain. Emotions during grief are confusing, overwhelming, complicated, and intense. Knowledge and understanding does not take away the pain; however, it provides a vocabulary for these normal feelings and coping skills to express them. A grief journey has been developed for this program, one for adults and one for youth, to use as a tool to help an individual understand the grief process.

Braveheart Grief Ministries, Inc. facilitates workshops and grief retreats. It also provides training for churches and the community to learn how to walk alongside those in grief.

The founder and President of Braveheart Grief Ministries, Inc. is Martha Furman, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
